Crash !!!

Its Sunday today an a total Crash day !!!! To start with I wake up in the morning ..with my body totally aching .....probably from the million falls I had when I was Ice Skating on Sat eve ...whch is another fun episode .....wen i saw kids hardly a few yrs old ...prancing around skating on ice like Olympics artists while I was holding onto the barricades like DEar Life ....was fun thgh ...n like i said fell a coupl of times ....n from the looks of it after waking up 2day morn am pretty bruised with all my legs and hands aching!!!!!!!!! So thats my first crash sitn of the day ....an then wen i swtch on my notebook I find Windows has crashed on me too .....it refused to start .....an had to go through the process of re-install to get it back online .....so def I guess that qualifies to call this SUNDAY a CRASHDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Well well well .........Its the new year 2006 .....like i wrote in my previous blog 2005 was definitely a year to reckon with ....From getting my full time job ...to getting the visa at the last minute (without whch i wud hav had to go back to India/ 2nd MS ...) to attending a couple of interviews ...getting selected in 1 but rejected in getting the final offer letter cos funds were over for the cpny .....to running into a 3 month loooooooooooooong wait from getting selected in the interview to actually joining the new company !!!!
2005 was definitely the make or break year !!!! No complaints at the end of the year !!!
Lets see what 2006 has in store for me !!!!

Todays posting is a much delayed one ....but definitely one I wanna remember ......A lesson in life may b ....It'll started with my graduation ......prior to Gradn. me n my friends were in such a rut ...thinking no bloke wud give us jobs ........ well no bloke did ...but gr8 cpnies did finally

Rewinding into my life --------------
Scene1: A few weeks b4 my gradn. I went for an internship interview ....(more like an internship/ contract job actually) an , ACED it !!!!!!!!!!!! ......n there I was in the Graduation ceremony laughing my heart out !!!!!!!!!!!!! so happy at the way things worked out ...............then after a few months came the rather outta party mood realization that may b the cpny wudnt extend my contract into a permanent position ..................they never seemed to talk about it ......n finally wen me went n asked the H1B quota jus got over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (there I went back to talking of my !@E#R%TW$$R#QR%$%T@$#E#Y^$%# luck bak again ..............) ............

Scene2:Forwarding a few weeks ahead was bak to job applying ....cos of my brief work experience got a coupl of interviews ...but then the visa question stuck out like a sore thumb ....n althgh I aced the interviews ( they told me I got selected but cudnt hire me cos of the visa requirement) ......Tough luck eh !!!!!!!!!!!!!! me jus thght back to home was the only way out ...either that or another MS ....wasnt the Phd type !!!! (quite particular aint i ;) ) ....

Scene3: Lady Luck smiled on me again....this time good luck ....this time there was a regulation in the Congress that H1 for MS+ students extend to 20K plus .........Whooooooopie ....I called bak the cpnies whch mentioned this as the obstacle , n their hiring was all wrapped up .....Hmm I shud probably call it Sweet n Sour news eh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scene4: NEw Year came an went .....So now there I was in Feb'05 ,totally lucked out ...went again to my current employer n askd him about extension ...................an whoa a week later they came back this time n converted me to Full time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I rewarded myself by getting a Honda sedan!!!!! :-)

Scene5: All my earlier job applying paid off again an I started getting calls from a real real BIG cpny ......so yup went thro the whole ring-a-ding of phone + on site interviews ...... there again I got selected in the interview but ddnt get an offer cos their HR messed up my paperwork blah blah blah ........................... was told this after makin me wait a few anxious weeks !!!!!!!!!!! Ohh man eh !!!!

Scene6: An then I rcved another call the day after I was told that I cudnt join the cpny ....But this time it was same cpny different place ( CA) ......By now I was like Ya right like im gonna b offered .....but still decided to give it a go ....bsides I get to c CA for free isnt it !!!!!!!!!!!! hehe ...so went for the interview on friday .....did it well ....n weekend was off to San Francisco !!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scene 7: The call finally arrived ......this time all the way through...............Yahoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! finally the new joining date was set !!!!!!!!!!!!! Alas the slight pessimist I was by this stage (judging by my recent exp.) ddnt expect much till I actually joined !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An Yahooooooooooo I did ........Boy was that really the bst thng ....And Guess Lady luck wasnt so bad after all .....If I had gotten the earlier job in AZ itself I wudnt hav gotten the chance to stay in CAlifornia !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm .....I had to write this in today .........was planning to for a looooooooooong time ....cos after a few yrs wen I face new hardships ....wanna think about this time n how it'll worked out !! Wat better way than Bloggggggggggggging it out in my diary right .....Bsides Itz the Xmas Looooooooong weekend , me got nothng better to do an more importantly its been almst a YeaR wen it all happened !!!! ...

an well if somebdy actually read all this .....Moral of the story is "Dont worry be Happy , things always work out at the end "

Whooooooopeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!
ME jus moved into California .....from the desert Arizona ....kinda wat I'd like to call shift from DeSert to DeSSert !!!!!!!!!!! lol ...yeah things are definitely better here with beautiful surroundings all around ...great lookin GREEN trees a good thng after seein lotsa pine trees bak home ..oops i mean Arizona ....still havnt gotten used to CA bein my new place ...haha ..

well of course everythng good thng has a grey lining to it ...the cost of living out here is AWEFUL ...too pricey !!!!!!! .....but well no gain without any pain eh ....n the weather is a lot good too ....will def like it in the summer i bet comparing to 100+ summers in AZ .........

enuf of my rants on AZ vs CA ......im here CA ...n lookin fwd to roamin around a bit soon into the Bay area whch is like 3 hrs drive from here .....n havin fun in the beaches n all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleeeeeepy Hollow ....

Definitely not a movie for the faint of heart that ..Cos some of the scenes in that movie "Sleepy Hollow" were plain gruesome.Like for instance the antagonist(villain) in tat movie chops off people's heads ..
Caught your attention now eh ...Phew !! quite disgusting ....n this all is done by a headless guy .
lol ...The movie is set in the 18th century ...I really pity the ppl in that century thgh ..I mean the women ...They are wearing Huge, really huge dresses ,covered from top to bottom n wear exqusite hats ..no wonder u had slavedom then ..A woman definitely needs help wen dressing then I guess ..lol ...
An the men of course wearing those wigs ...if you have seen an 18th century period english movie thy would know what I mean !! ..

Ok back to my supposedly horror story ..Frankly the horror of removing ppls heads ,ghosts etc doesnt appeal to me .I wud prefer "the ring" , "the village" kind of movies whch horrify you with the music rather than actualy ghosts clad in white or headless brandishing a sword etc ..

Back to the story again ..I'll jus give u the synopsis in case ya wanna chck it out ..
So Johnny Depp (Constable) from NY goes to this distant town called Sleepy Hollow ,to solve a mystery there.As an aside ,why should these stories always be set in distant an remote places , are the ghosts afraid of people in the cities !! ;) ...

So theres like 3 murders already b4 our constable goes there , n get this the murderer takes away the heads !! ..."quite interesting" acc to our constable cos then it gets tough to identify the murdered , but the town identifies them anyways with their dresses ....

An then enters beautiful lookin Christina Ricci , not too gorgeous or too pretty but suits the role.

An finally our constable solves the mystery ...

Am not gonna tell you how though ....

For that ya gotta watch the Movie folks !! ..

Hav fun n if you guys come up with interesting movies ...fill me in ...

Much Ado about "nothing" ...

Well nothing means so much to so many ppl ...But for me Nothing means "Seinfeld" ..that fanastic show about nothing ..
I mean its just too awesome .An hr every day of humor ..I jus love it .."Giddy up " as Kramer puts it.I dont miss a single episode each day as I sit in front of my TV from 6-7pm .The brilliance of the show is that most of it occurs in real life .
For example getting lost at the Parking Lot. I mean who really remembers those wierd combinations "Purple 12 B lot" ..lol ...Me n my cousin went to Universal Studios parked someplace like that and lo when we came back in the evening ...Had to roam around 30 mins for our car.LOl ..n thats exactly what one of the Seinfeld episodes was about.I was literally Rolling Over and LOL on seeing that ..n worse if u r goin in a group .Cos each guy goes in a different direction to search for the car and ends up getting the car but missing one of the group.Yup u guessed it right thats how that episode ends too,oh actually they all finally get together finally at night (after 3-4 hrs of hunting ....) and the car doesnt start.
LOl is that funny or what..

Like tat lots n lots of episodes taken from everyday life ...

Well I gotta run now ...

Phew 2day was a tiring day ...as will b 2morrow n tomorrow after tat ..till friday ...I always get through friday well ..Cos the weekend is within sight n the mere thght of tat cheers me up !! ...Well u mst hav guessed it right ,,I have just started working in an office ... hmm ...beats me ...I spend almost 20 n odd yrs of my life reading up n taking exams for it(IT if u care) ...an im so bored wen i come to it ... lol ....no wonder ppl always say they like their childhood ..Wen my elder cousins used to tell me to enjoy life at school , college,grad school etc ..I was thinkin ...wats this exams n more exams ....I wanted to work then ......n now ...exams r still bad ....but not as bad as havin to get up early each morn .....Hell atleast during exams i only get up early b4 the exams ....lol ...

Ok enough of my cribbing ...

Ohh n all those ppl who talk about Life bein gr8 at work .... tats ur Public Relations campaign workin rght !! ...lol ....or ur tryin to convince urself !!!!!!!!!!! ;) ..
